my 06 whines like crazy especially at 40-50 mph with wind shield up and head down out of rain. it does it sitting still so its not the rear end. some call it the turbo whine and say they like it. its what i dislike the most about the bike.

there is a vacant plug at the left fork tube below the storage box that is hot only when the motor is running. i think that it is intended to be used for fatory installed heated grips on AE model and dealer installed on A model. if dealer didnt use this plug he may have installed after market...

you have a cam. its plastic. make it look like a #400 cam. take slack out of cable at adjuster at handlebar. simple and easy and it worked for me......if you mess it up then you order a g2.
