Not sure but I think it was on Hwy 9 where flashing headlights warned us of a gaggle of porcupines that were having a reunion of sorts in the road.

Should have been a sign warning of this type of activity as we'd seen it a few times during that adventure.. Not sure If Tom seen it as he'd missed the moose in the road a few days earlier.

I will be traveling from the Niagara region to Huntsville for the CFR event on Thursday June 20th. No reason to ride alone. Would anyone like to join me along the way for the ride up to Huntsville?
I'm planning to cross the border there on Thursday too; maybe we can meet up someplace.

Its still a ways out, but I do have some family issues (wife's family) that could stop me from doing this run, but if I can make it had planned to leave beautiful downtown Mims, FL the day before and get close to Buffalo someplace. My hotel res starts the 20th.

Bummer, I had to pull/cancel my registration and reservation.

That is a Bummer! :( Won't be the same without you!

... and I'm pretty sure I can get FJRGuy signed up.
I'm just a sheep! Plan it and I'll follow along... as long as i don't run out of money first. :)

I will be traveling from the Niagara region to Huntsville for the CFR event on Thursday June 20th. No reason to ride alone. Would anyone like to join me along the way for the ride up to Huntsville? I'll be passing by Grimsby, Stoney Creek, Hamilton, Ancaster, Burlington, Toronto, etc. If your want to connect up for the ride, let me know. Do I need to start another topic for this?

We're planning on heading up from Buffalo on Thursday, maybe we can meet up along the way.
I'll check the travel thread, but I'll be in Oakville, count me in. I believe Intech was planning on crossing the border there Thursday morning too.

I am working on a "Ride and Find" It will be something to do on friday. It will be places from a list that you go out and do what the peice of paper tells you to do there. Maybe a picture and a question to be answered or maybe just a picture. It's nice way to see the country side and local stuff. Oh and a few good roads. Not quite sure if there will be big prizes for the most places got to.

I just want it to be fun! It should be fairly easy..... Fairly as in you should see lots of neat stuff but with only 30 some spots to see I still don't think you will get to them all. If you stop at a location and you want to explore more of it... so be it. Still working out details with our leader.
Awesome idea Tom! Let me know if I can help 'smartphonify' this. ;)

Steamer said he got an email about registration for the dinner/banquet? Went to the CFR website to inquire/signup but couldn't find anything on it?

(my email on it may have gone to spam?)

Yeah, I'm pretty frugal and 40 bucks seems high, but these things are usually a lot of fun and worth the price so I'll be there.

Change of plans for me. I rescheduled my Lee Parks course so I'll be at CFR for the entire weekend.

As some may know I am heavily involved in dirt bikes and the start of the racing season was particularly insane with getting our electronic scoring system straightened out. I sent out the e-mail to registered participants to CFR but unfortunately I got a number of bounce backs from bad e-mails.
For those who are coming here is a copy of what I sent out and will have on the website as soon as I have a little more free time....

As promised here are the details for the Saturday night banquet for CFR. If you wish to attend the banquet you will need to purchase a ticket separately since we did not include the banquet in the registration fee. Please remember that the banquet is voluntary and you do not have to attend if you do not wish to.
The ticket price is $40 per person which includes the rental cost of the hall and all gratuities. There will be a cash bar.
Tickets must be purchased by June 4 to give us time to confirm payment and give the final head count to the resort.
Tickets can be purchased via PayPal at [email protected]. Please add a comment that the payment is for the banquet to help us with our accounting. See attached PayPal examples.

I would have liked it to be cheaper but when you remember this includes room rental & setup it is not completely out of line. Just ask anyone who has paid for a wedding lately.

Ray is going to pop over in the near future and we are going over the routes and will have something to post up soon. Gotta go now - I'm missing the Leafs - Bruins game dammit.

You should'a missed the whole game, Billy.
Can't have been too pleasant...

(for you)

Fred, you idjiot! Couldn't you hear Bill screaming...... "Go Bruins!" (as was I). It was an excellent game, BTW. Priceless seeing the glazed look of young deer in the headlights after it was 4-3.

Well Ray you have to understand that Fred is Bostoncentric. He thinks that just because you live close to a town you have to root for that team. Yep, he's an idjoit alright (especially rooting for the Red Sox).
