I have had mine activated since day 1 and yep, I get false signals too.....Not as many as you said you get but I do get them at the oddest times. Not really a bother so I just leave it on.

And you haven't heard the latest obviously........ It will have a hybrid motor - runs on battery most of the time powered by solar energy cells. It makes the bike a little heavy (over 1000 lbs.) but rumors are it will get pretty good gas mileage rolling downhill. :P

I enjoy motorcycle camping so I will be camping at the EOM this year. The Boone KOA campground still has sites if anyone else looking for a campsite. The good thing about this area is there are a lot of choices for camping. :D

I have missed over a months worth of GPS when my Lowrance I500C failed on me and Lowrance repair cannot seem to get their act together, so out of frustration I am dumping the Lowrance and getting ready to get me something better. Anyone know much about the Garmin Zumo unit? It looks promising...

I also live in Jacksonville (actually Fruit Cove in St. Johns County). I went to EOM last year and it was fun. This year I may go again and I tent camp along the way and/or will camp up at EOM - I will try to be at Tomba's in August. :) (05 FJR - about 22,000 miles now).
