    8,000 Mile Maintenance

I've been hit pretty hard with the snow this winter and am just getting that itch to get the bike out on the road again (we got another 7inched today). I have an '06 with only 8,000 miles on it... I know, I need to get her out more, but I just finished grad school and bought a house. And oh...

    Tire Problems...maybe?

I have a 2006 with 7,200 miles on the original tires. I run the back at 41psi and the front at 39psi. I have recently felt as if I was riding on marbles and it is extremely uncomfortable. I cannot track in a straight line and forget about cornering. I have looked over the tires numerous times...

    End my vacation early?

I ordered a PCIII while away on vacation and my neighbor said it arrived this afternoon and is holding it in his custody. I have been anticipating this day for a very long time ( :yahoo: ) and was wondering if it was worth it to cut my vacation short a day to go home and play? Also, could...

    Just bought my PCIII... finally!

I ordered it from fuelmotousa.com- awesome customer service! Here is my dilemma: They are loading it with their map for my stock '06. But I was wondering if I should use that map, Wally's smoothness map, or the one rok312 combined with uselesspickles'...

North Jersey to Lake George Route

I am planning a trip up to Lake George with some friends. I live in northern NJ and want to find some scenic roads up to Lake George. I would like to avoid Rt. 87 / the thruway. Open to any and all suggestions. Matt

Bull Riding = No FJR for 6+weeks.

Last year I decided to take up bull riding. I hurt my hand pretty badly doing so, so I gave it up for a year. Last month I tried it again and got the same injury to the same hand. The x-ray's and MRI show that I tore some ligaments and fractured my thumb on my right hand. I'm getting surgery...

What do you do for a living?...

Seems like people on here are constantly adding farkles with endless amounts of income. Do you have to sacrifice other things or is your job paying that well? I'm a high school teacher and although I may not be able to add farkle after farkle, I do get 2 months off to ride any time I want...

Anyone go to Chatterbox in Augusta, NJ

Went with my dad tonight to the Chatterbox on rt. 15 tonight and what a sad sight. Over two hundred Harleys with a small mix of another things and NO FJR's (except mine). C'mon guys! Anyone in the North Jersey, Eastern Penn area needs to make a visit one Thursday night.

On average, how many times a day do you either click on 'View New Posts' or refresh the page to see the latest topics/replies? It's by far the healthiest addiction I have :innocent:

    First Impressions...

I've ridden with my new CB +2+2 with flip for about 300 miles now- about 200 on back roads and 100 at highway speeds (all you Feejers should know what I'm talking about). I'm 6' 1" and needed something to reduce the serious noise problem when not wearing earplugs or my iPod. I went with the...

    Just Ordered my CB +2+2...

After reading countless threads and losing hours of sleep (seriously), I finally broke down and ordered the CB +2+2 Flip. I chose the CB with the flip because I would rather see a slight curve at the top instead of added inches for the same results. No matter what I read, no one seemed to be...

    Vote for my Windscreen

Yes, I searched and read all of the posts, but wanted something more personal... I am 6'1, 32" inseam, ride with the stock seat in the top position and have stock handlebars. I've narrowed it down to a Cal Sci, Rifle, or Cee Bailey... ... and that remains my dilemma. My only...

    North Jersey Windscreen Testing

I just got an '06 last month and am looking to switch out the windshield. I have been doing a lot of reading on here about brands and sizes but still can't make up my mind. I am 6'1 with a 32" inseam. With the stock shield all the way up, I get tossed around pretty good on the highway. My...

    Tie Down Points for Trailering

I'm towing my FJR and my dad's Goldwing up to Maine this summer (he tows the RV). I was wondering where the best tie down points are and any other recommendations. I saw a post on here about attaching the straps to sliders, but I don't have them. There has to be a conventional way to compress...
