sticky shifter

My 2007 has 34000 on it and i am stating to have a problem with the shiter not returning on up shifts. It returns but not enough to the lock into position for the next gear. I have taken the shifter linkage off and checked to see if it was binding.

The shifter shaft is well lubed ? And moves freely ? Only leaves the clutch . . .
