Looks like about 4 hours of windshield time for for me. An early start ought to get us there around noon.

I'm bugging out Wednesday to ride through Yosemite while the rivers are kicking with all the snow melt and most likely end up in Oakhurst before finding some some perverted way to Paso Thursday. Are we doing a spot page?

We'll be camping in Yosemite at Housekeeping Camp Tuesday night and Wednesday night, then we are headed to the coast Thursday and will stay at New Brighton State Park. We'll be down Friday morning sometime.

I'll keep my eyes open for a 2 up trailer pulling speed of sound FJR.

So much for the long range forecast. Been dry too long this last month. Nothing major but could be a little moisture Thursday. At least it won't be snow

Im in sac too leaving on Thursday, can meet at luguna/5 to go to holister. Let me know

Checking to see if there are any Northern California people heading down on Thursday who might want ride together. I am in Sacramento.
I will be leaving from Grass Valley sometime Thursday. Let me know your plans.

I have a room at the motel 6 with double beds if anyone is looking for a roommate.
Will see what time Ray will be hitting the Sacramento area and if it all works out we can meet then.

google says it's around an hour from Williams to Sac. so if all goes well I should be going through around nine + - depending on traffic morons.

I say anyone who is interested meet at the 76 gas station at I5 and Lagunna Blvd at 9:00 am. The gas station is on the northwest corner of lagunna blvd and harbor point. Who is in?

In if I can find it.

Just looked it up and I think I've been there.

Just back from San Diego to Redding round trip. For any of you coming south, Google 'Elk Creek' and have lunch at Nancy's. Follow the road south-east to Maxwell... a beautiful... and green California experience.

One of my favorites, ride it at least twice a year.. We did a rte at Nancy's in Elk Creek a couple years ago. Did you ride in from Orland or Willows?

Central Kali Routes with narrative..

As always.. these are suggestions. Prepare your own plans. I noticed some weirdness in directions, (make a u turn, etc) when converting these from mymaps.google.com.

AustinRide. Good pavement sweepy corners, higher corner speeds. Big vista views.

Cambria MorroBay Rossi Creston. Fun ride, lot's of winieries, fast and furious to twitchy and goaty. When in Cambria stop at Main Street Grill for lunch. Cash only!

Cold Springs Tavern. A south county ride. South county temperatures are milder compared to north county. And the terrain is very different too. Cold Springs Tavern has good food but know that service is slow and parking can be difficult for short legged riders.

Creston ParkField San Miguel - Max Backroads. Plan on lunch in Parkfield. Call to make sure they are open. This is a VERY good ride.

Freeze Your Balz Off. Another great route. Hiway 58 heading west is the best paved, twistiest, fastest, slowest, trickiest road in the county!

Jalama via Tequsquet-Foxen. A south county ride. Warning, some parts are very 'goaty'. Pretty sure FjRay and Patti would NOT like this route.

Naciamento-Fergusson Rd. The most scenic of all the routes. Everything from fast and furious to slow and tight but not very 'goaty' at all. The view of the Pacific Ocean is incredible. Suggest Riders run this route Thur or Fri to avoid hiway 1 weekend traffic. You will be riding over a military base. Do NOT speed. If ticketed, it's literally a Federal offense. Plan your fuel stops.... Eat in Cambria, Main Street Grill. Indoor and outdoor seating. Cash only.

Peachtree PacificGrove Coast Ride. I would rate this the second best route, again a Thurs/Fri ride as hiway 1 can be busy this time of year. The ride along the coast is bitchen.

Same route as above, but cutting inland instead of riding the coast southward.

The route if you want the best pie EVER. Stop at 'The Place' on hiway 33 for pie and coffee. Pine Mountain has elevation and is cooler riding. HiWay 58, the best asphalt in the county!

In at Orland, west and south to EC, more south and then east to Maxwell. The scenary is National Park quality. Youre fortunate to be closeby. It would be on my RTE rotation!
