Furthermore, because the Yamaha spanner is supposed to be used at a 90 degree angle to the torque wrench, the torque spec is correct for when using a socket like this.

Shoot, I'm buying one even though I already have the official Yamaha/KL tool. I like the pin socket idea far better than that damned retarded spanner hook design.

same here. i used to be a machine tool operator and am surprised he's center boring bar stock instead of getting some kind of thick-walled tubing. once i saw it, it made sense, but that's a lot of work for $26.

i know its not the most efficient way to machine these but i am making them from scrap i had from another job. your actually paying $24.50 for shop fees (costs me $12.25 an hour to run my shop. takes two hours to make socket) and $1.50 scrap price for steel. the problem will be when i run out of scrap. i had enough for 47 sockets but i am up to 62 orders.

Not that I like throwing money around but, if you need to raise the price to cover material for orders over #47 I'm still in. Unless you aren't planning on becoming a full time tool maker.

ok just an update to how things are going. as you should know this is just a hobby and i plug away on these as i can thats why i don't want paid before delivery. these are the people i have left in the order that i received their request. i had been doing about 5 a week but have had other things keeping me busy and have skipped the last 9 days. if you have some drastic need drop me a line and i will see what i can do. otherwise you have to wait your turn. i promise i will get to everyone but just can't guarantee when. if your name isn't on the list it means i didn't get a pm with your address stating you wanted one.
