    Lane-Sharing Graphic from OC Register

that vehicle code doesn't mention the space between the double-double yellows...it only refers to entering/exiting the carpool lane completely. i used the term "buffer" for lack of a better term. i didn't mean to imply that it was part of the code verbiage. the CHiP that told me that it was...

    Switch for aux lighting?

auto parts stores like Auot Zone, Kragen, Pep Boys, etc carry a wide variety of cool switches (that cater to the import tuner crowd). if you're gonig to install it on a horizontal panel, i'd recommend a water-proof switch.

    Lane-Sharing Graphic from OC Register

i commute to work on my FJR and the commute home in the evening is mostly lane-splitting on the northbound 605 (between the carpool and no. 1 lane) and the eastbound 60 (between the no. 1 and 2 lanes). it is indeed legal to ride inside the double-double yellow that separates the carpool lane...

Punished or rewarded for motorcycle commuting?

i work for Boeing in Long Beach, California. our parking structure is 7-stories high and has a footprint about the size of two city blocks. motorcycles park in a designated area on the first level that can hold about 40 bikes. we park adjacent to the handicap parking. the motorcycle section...

    Some latest mods

very clean...very good! first thing i do whenever i buy a bike is remove the reflectors (it's not a bicycle, after all). my riding gear has plenty of reflective piping, so i still feel safe. that being said, i have been hesitant to remove the sidecase reflectors. i don't know if i will be...

Motorcycle Helmet Performance: Blowing the Lid Off

Teknic Freeway Jacket or Tour Master Transition Series 2

i crashed my Z750S somewhere between Monterey and Big Sur on the 1st of March. it was only 30 mph, but i went down hard on my left side. i credit my transition jacket with saving my skin. the textile on the elbow had minor scratches, and the shoulder abraided through the first layer (only)...
