Okay, I made another update to the list based on a recommendation from FatNakedGuy to send it as a .pdf for those of you that don't have MS Excel and also a couple of quick responses from sin loki and HIS2006, along with the fact that I left out the bike year column. MojaveFJR I sent you a PM, your email addy is bouncing with my sysadmin. Respond with any corrections and additions to the spreadsheet and I will correct it then send it back out again in two weeks. Should be just in time for the Big Bear ride on the 23rd. :yahoo: :fans:

Dave, Got the list; Thanks. Would love to ride to Big Bear with you guys, but that is the same weekend that SkooterG and I are leading the Arizona FJR Forum Ride to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Say, if Richard passes up getting the scooter that you showed him, and goes with a Gold Wing, please let me know! I want to buy him either a Garfield The Cat or Opus The Penguin stuffed animal doll for him to epoxy to the top case, like other guys in Gold Wing Riders Club have!

I have a vacation home at the Islander Resort at Lake Havasu and spend my time off my FJR on the Colorado River on my boat. Perhaps we could consider a weekend get together in November of both SOCAL FJR Riders and AZ FJR Forum groups.

We could meet anywhere in this Fall when weather cools down between Bullhead City and Parker, AZ. Laughlin, NV maybe??

Laughlin would be cool..

I also want to head up to Shasta/166 area late september, hopefully i can get Barry to head down from Seattle!!!!!!!!!!

As far as the bike buying goes, i am going to wait and see what they offer for 09 in the Wing and the FJR. I hope the color is something other than Silver or Grey.....

That sounds like a great idea. We'll have to start planning something in early October as far as ride route is concerned. I have caged some of that roadway before and would love to do it on the Feej. B)

Dave: Unfortunately, large part of AZ FJR Forum will be riding in Mexico during October. You can see this at "Southwest".

With your kind permission, may I start investigating Laughlin for both SOCAL and AZ FJR for the first weekend in November?

Fairlaner: If we like the rates I find, I'll start to post them here. I, and my Hell's Angels & Vagos friends, prefer Harrah's!

Richard: Just some food for thought. Both Skooter G and I have spare motorcycles. GregM has a spare FJR and I have five street bikes; the KLR is actually a dual-sport. If Barry was to fly into Phoenix on Friday night, he could stay at mi casa.

He could ride up with AZ FJR Forum to meet his SOCAL buddies on his "new" bike. I can return him to the airport Monday AM.

I just spoke with Barry, sounds like he would be up for a trip down to NoCal or Southern Oregan. Looks like the last week in Sept or first week in Oct. Looks like friday Oct 3rd would be a good time so lets plan on that.

And Don i dont think he could make the Laughlin one so go ahead and get some prices, I would look at the weekend of Nov 7=8=9.

R: Nov 7=8=9 it is! Last gambling trip I took to Laughlin in April, I stayed at Aquarius, which was the "old" Flamingo Casino.

https://www.aquariuscasinoresort.com They put many millions into a recent renovation. If we want to go the cheap route, there is always "The Pioneer". Pioneer is still the most inexpensive in Laughlin!

https://www.pioneerlaughlin.com/ I'll check out the rates at both places. Does anyone else have a favorite hotel in Laughlin??

Richard, You're right! I'll start this thread over at "Southwest" and you can start one in "California". I've already responded to Joe from Tucson in another post that we Zonies will depart from Wickenburg at 3PM. We'll arrive in Laughlin at +/- 6PM.

Second Mailout will happen in about two weeks time. I have adjusted the list as I have recieved feedback and will continue to add those that request by sending a pm to me. Please remember to bump this posting by replying to it that you have sent a pm. This will give it more visibility to those that have not yet requested to be added to the list. So far 34 riders total on the list and the 2005 FJR has stolen the show with 9 entries. B)

Any of the SOCAL FJR Riders that would like to be part of a contact list that I am putting together so we can plan rides, share information and stay in conact when we get seperated during a ride, please send your information to me in the following format:

Once I have put it all together, I will distribute it to everyone on the list. I already have Neil San Diego and fjr charger's information to start. We have finally had some good ride leadership come forward in SOCAL and because of that, some really great and fun rides. It would be neat to add to the numbers and at the same time, share the burden of planning these rides. The list will not be used for any other purpose other than that stated above. NO SPAMMING PLEASE!

Okay, the list is up to 39 riders now. The 2005's have pulled way ahead with 11 bikes now. I am still accepting inputs for the revised list daily. I will be sending out the corrected list next week prior to the Big Bear ride. Hope to see some I already know and meet some new faces there, if I get my bike in for its 16K this weekend. B)
