Then first post list all 3 generations and after says

Standard Big Foot. $24.00 ?

Later the post says Gen 3 modified BigFoot $29.00 ?

Is there just 1 Gen 3 Big Foot or 2 versions - standard and modified?

Hi Dave - Hope all is well!
PayPal just sent for a Gen3 BigFoot

Thanks again!

Ah ha! Has VanHarlan joined the 3rd Gen revolution?

Nope. Picking one up for a friend who doesn't have PayPal. I'm still flogging my 07 and had Traxxion Dynmics rebuild the suspension last year. She's still a worthy and formidable steed.

For all essential purposes there are three different types.

Standard: This will fit Gen1 and Gen2 bikes with stock exhaust

Modified exhaust version: This will fit Gen1 and Gen2 bikes with some aftermarket exhaust systems. See notes on which. (no pic at this time)

Modified GenIII version: This will fit The GenIII bikes. Yamaha shortened up the center-stand which required more changes to the big foot.

So I added some more info to try a clarify things a little better in the first post. Sorry for any confusion

Dave

Am I missing something. Please help me. The last three people paid $24.00 for a GenIII big foot. See first post.
https://www.fjrforum.com/forum//index.php/topic/125329-wynpro-big-foot/?p=693546

Standard Big-Foot is $24.00

Modified exhaust Big-Foot is $29.00 (no pic at this time)

Generation III modified Big-Foot is $29.00

Really, I don't get it. Help me

Dave
I think the use of the term "modified" in the description for the Gen III Big-Foot leads people to conclude that it is for a modified exhaust Gen III. If their Gen III has stock exhaust, why would they not chose a "Standard Big-Foot" for $24.00?

If this theory is correct, then adding a slightly more elaborative description such as:

Gen 1 or 2 with stock exhaust: $XX.XX

Gen 1 or 2 with aftermarket exhaust: $XX.XX

Gen 3 with either stock or aftermarket exhaust: $XX.XX

Or something along those lines.

Thanks Tiger_993 suggestion taken.

Could you please remove the pricing from your post. That's a whole other problem that occurs. If I happen to update the pricing folks don't always go to the first post. They will see your posting and then send the funds according your post.

Thank you,

Yes, of course - good idea. I've taken out the price references.

Just a quick question Dave. I've had the Bigfoot on the bike for about 6 months and I'm getting a little rattle when in the up position. The screws are tight and have been placed with loctite. Is there anything I can do to shore that up, or has anyone else had that problem? I'm assuming its a very minor movement of the piece side to side.

Yep...

Did it on my '05 and on my '14. No more rattles ever!

Put a little in the cup shaped depression of the BigFoot, and then put the side stand's foot in it and screw it together. Let it set up overnight with the bike's weight on the side-stand so it is perfectly straight to the ground

As Fred pointed out, That is the best method to follow. I will be trying my big foot on soon on my GenIII as I get another batch done that I am working on now. I will know if something has changed over the years. It does seem like the GenIII leans over more compared to my GenII. I almost think they shortend the sidestand up a bit. I will follow up later on how things went.

I have just installed the GenIII Bigfoot on my 2016 using the JB Weld and Loctite thread locker. It fits perfectly and is on there solidly. Thanks Dave!
