    After WFO...

I assume you are riding back to Nova Scotia. I would take HWY 89 south to Bryce Canyon up and over HWY 12 to Torrey and through Capitol Reef NP (NP= National Park). You could also go further south on 89 and hit Zions. It will be warm but not Death Valleyish. At Capitol Reef it will start to get...

Place to ship a bike to in Rochester NY

I am coming to the area in mid September and need to ship a couple of bikes. A dealer would be convenient as I need someone to receive them and need to pick them up on a Saturday afternoon. Shipping this way saves us a couple of bucks. If you have any ideas I would appreciate it. BTW coming from...

    Help me identify this symbol

Toecutter are you requesting a porter from Colorado? That does look to be the right thing and makes sense. The guy would be a Thompson fan and does like to brew his own, especially porters. Yes it is a firefighters helmet. BTW I won't be able to confirm for about a week but it looks good...

    Help me identify this symbol

Hi everyone. I have been sort of challenged by a co-worker to identify a sticker that is on his helmet. He gave me a hint that it is related to an author. If you can help I owe you a cold one. TIA Brett

    Yamaha factory heated grips

Check JC Whitney. Looking at the picture the have it appears that they are the exact same as the Yamaha grip without the aisian instructions and the angle bracket mount. Cost as I recall was about $50. Not as cheap as some aftermarket but at least an easy trade.

    WFO-6 Advanced Riding Classes

I would be interested in a day before/after class assuming that WFO is in Colorado or other locales close to home (Utah). That would make it close enough to home to not really impact days taken off. ie days needed to get to the event.

    Oxtar Matrix Boots

I tried on a pair of size 45 or 11. That is what I normally wear and they fit fine. I do have large calves and they were'nt comfortable in that area so I didn't buy. The reason you can't get any is that the US distributor quit importing. A buddy of mine talked to Sierra BMW in the Reno area and...

Gear Drive better than Belt Drive?

Well I was riding with a buddy with a Harley. New bike probably less than 2000 miles. Just off the second ferry boat going north in British Columbia his belt snapped. The speculation was a rock got between the belt and the rear cog. The belt have no give, the rock didn't crush, so the belt...

    WFO second atendee

Hi I am registered and booked for Reno. My wife is now available for the trip. My question is do I need to pay the $10 registration fee to make her "eligible" to attend? No problem paying. Just want to know. I would prefer a definitive answer, i.e. from the god heads, as to speculation...

    Mixing tire brands

Due to a flat in the middle of nowhere Texas, I ended up with a Metzelar ME4 on the front and the Avon on the back. Avon was the replacement. Anyway no handling issues and after a couple of hundred miles I forgot about it. However I did not ride in any bad weather. I spoke to the Metz rep once...

Going out doing what you love to do...

I first read this after the Columbia space shuttle went down. It was printed as an editorial in the newspaper here and the yellowed clipping hangs on my bulliten board. It strikes me as appropriate at times like these. I hope you will find it appropriate also. "I would rather be ashes than...
