The town turns into a mess while the rally

is underway. Usually ride into town to walk

around and see all the vendor displays.

Last year Yamaha had bikes available for

test rides. Yes, FJR's too. Hoping they have

some '06' FJR's this year. Lot's of good

food too. They're expecting 200,000

people to show up this year.

Hatfield, PA (North of Philli_Pa)
You mean NW of Philly

Scenic Horsham here. Get the bike at Montgomeryville?
Correct, it's Northwest

Got the bike at Montgomeryville

They sold 3 new '06's this year. Trying to locate # 3.

Wish I had more time to ride, barely broken in.

Wife & I are getting ready to go out on it for the first time.

It's like falling in love all over again, SIGH :blushsmiley:

I purchased my 2005 FJR from Montgomeryville Cycle. I'm waiting for them to call me and tell me that my 2006 FJR-AE has arrived.

I'd be more interested in doing some rides around the area. If you can provide some suggestions, I'd appreciate it.

Hi Randy,

Sorry for the delay, was in transit to Grand Junction, Colorado!

Limited access to email. 2 '05' FJR sightings on Rt 70 between Denver

and Grand Junction, if your forum members...HI!

Some nice places to see in the Johntown area;

Horseshoe Curve

Railroad Museum

Flood Memorial

Flight 93 Crash Site

They have a welcome tent set up with maps for rides they

plan. I'll be home Thurs night, and will be hitting the rally

Fri and Sat. The big bike parade is Saturday. Fun to see.

Let me know if your coming!

Hey Squeezer,

I was at the COG rally when it was in J-town. I am friends

with Jason K. Went on some of the rides with the group. I was

on a red VFR. Did I possiblly meet you?

Maybe, if you did the ice cream run to State College. I didn't spend much time at Rally HQ except to ride in for the banquet. It was a busy week for me. But hopefully we'll get us central PA FJR owners together soon anyway and we can meet again.

Jason's a great guy [for the rest of you -- he's the source for the route web sites I posted], the kind that puts in the work that the rest of us benefit from.

Tom,

I grew up in Altoona, so, very familiar with Horseshoe Curve and Railroad Museum.

Still trying to work some things out - I'll let you know if I can make it out this weekend.

Was anybody here at the EPHRATA Sunday ride-in yesterday (July 2)

We saw several FJR's on the road, I never realized the stand-out road presence this bike presents to oncoming traffic, I guess because I've never seen one on the highway before, it's an awesome tall, sleek and slender profile (dark and handsome too). Too bad whomever it was, was headed in the opposite direction. Think we saw the same rider later down near Susquehanna (sp) state park. [We were caged and destined for a family outing.] But next month...

Anyone want to meet-up?

I was. I'm about 75% sure I'm doing this ride ... anyone else?

Saw that earlier - can't! do it - if you go, I'd like to get a copy of the route sheet. Have traveled through that area previously, lots of great mountain curves, almost any road you pick, though some are better than others. There's gotta be some way to get free...

Hi all-

I'm up in Central New Jersey --Whitehouse Station specifically. I also have inlaws in Hatboro, PA. Would love to ride with other FJRs. Sign me up!

Mogan

Thinking I might make this July 9th trip. Would be fun to meet up with any of you. :clapping:

That July 9 ride would be excellent. I met Russ Fleming briefly at a COG rally -- good guy. It's family vacation time for me, though, so I won't be around. Go if you get the chance, though. It might be the start of something great around here.

Kutztown, Pa. I'm #3 from Montgomeryville Cycle. A model arrived in the second week of June. Just passed 600 miles. Love it more every day.

Welcome to the board. I vaguely remember someone telling me about a monthly get together somewhere around Kleinfeltersville. Ring a bell?

Thanks. I haven't heard of that gathering. I have been to Ephrata a few times in the past on my Shadow. We have a group planning to go in Aug.

I'm there almost every month. If we can get our lazy asses out of bed early enough, we'll be parked near the entrance on the left.
